On 3 March 2020, four women shared their experience as new graduates, and the effect of COVID-19 on their lives and their mental wellbeing. They all agreed to create a non-profit organisation to help women who might find themselves in the same situation, and who were isolated because of the pandemic.
They all concluded that it was very difficult to find a job after graduating. So they decided to help women create their own businesses, and to offer them training so that those businesses could thrive. The organisation aims to encourage women to be financially independent, and works closely with recruitment agencies to help women find employment.
Added to this is support for victims of domestic violence — notably female genital mutilation — and for mental health problems.
Although this includes all women who may be disadvantaged, the organisation focuses in particular on Black and ethnic minority women.
We firmly believe in human rights and seek justice for victims. By conducting research on human rights, equality and diversity, we aim to offer support and advice to women and children in need. We also offer coaching services to women through partnerships.
